VSL Property was set up in 2008 with one fundamental mission in mind - to make it easier to find your perfect property in Sierra Leone. We present detailed description, attractive photos and tools to enable owners and agents present their accommodation in an attractive manner.
It is a two person agency. Its directors are young and dynamic with a drive to bring some trust back into the Real Estate industry in Sierra Leone. Sulaiman Daba, is a qualified accountant who worked for Sabena and Brussels Airlines before branching out to concentrate on Real Estate development projects. He is responsible for Finance.
Abimbola Carrol, his partner, comes from a Customer Service, Marketing and IT background. He is the founder of Visit Sierra Leone (www.visitsierraleone.org) a tour operating company in Sierra Leone. At VSL Property his main role is Marketing. Operations is shared between the partners.

How VSL Property operates.
We offer two different options for landlords who wish to list with our web site.
- We work as agents on behalf of landlords who wish to sell or rent their property. Our rates are competitive and we know how important it is to have a right match for tenant and property. As full time agents our company is responsible for walking the client through the deal as well as supervising visits to the property.
- We appreciate that some landlords would rather deal with clients directly. In such cases we offer advertising opportunities of only 1% of the listing price for rental property and 0.5% for sales. With this scenario, landlords are listed as direct contacts and we have no input into the tenant/landlord relationship.
However, our standard service is acting as agents both in finding a suitable tenant and managing the property on your behalf.
If you appoint us as agents, we not only advertise your property free of charge but gives you access to our existing client base once an agreement is signed by the landlord. Industry standard commission rates in Sierra Leone are:
- 10% commission for the first year rent for a straightforward rental
- 10% recurrent commission annually for ongoing property management
- 5% for sale of property
